Sports facility overview

Ibaraki Golf Club, founded in 1962, is a 36-hole championship golf course surrounded by old pine forests.

The 18-hole Par-72 East Course measures 7,336 yards from the championship tees. It demands a long solid drive and accurate approach shot to finish up the hole on par. In 2011, the greens were reconstructed and returfed with 007 Bent Grass.

Practice facilities for the sand shot, approach shot, and the 260-yard driving range are also provided.

In the past, many championships have been held on both courses. The major championship of The Ladies Professional Golfers' Association of Japan called the "WORLD LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP" has been continuously held since 2009.

Access to the golf course is convenient, approximately an hour by car or train from the centre of Tokyo.

East Course No. 1

Toride Kokusai Golf Club

Toride Kokusai Golf Club was founded in 1958.
It is a traditional 36-hole Japanese golf club surrounded by pine trees. The club consists of the East and West courses.
The East Course is a technical course that covers 6,880 yards and requires par 72 technology and strategy.
Under the supervision of Mr. Isao Aoki, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, the course has been completely renovated to implement a one-bent-green system in 18 holes.
Electric golf carts with GPS navigation have also been introduced, making the course challenging yet at the same time convenient.
The West Course is a par 72 over 6,984 yards long, which provides a sense of openness during the play. The course includes two traditional putting greens, Korai and Bent.
Training facilities are provided for sand and approach shots, and there is also a 250-yard driving range practice.
The golf course is located just an hour away from Tokyo, accessible by car or train.
By car: 5 kilometres from the Yatabe interchange/Joban Expressway (about 1 hour from downtown Tokyo).
By courtesy van: 10 minutes from Miraidaira Station.
By train: Miraidaira Station (about 50 minutes from centre of Tokyo).
